Cellulosic Electrodes
SUPERLINK-6010
A medium-coated, high-cellulose sodium type electrode designed primarily for vertical-down (stovepipe) welding technique. Produces a forceful, deeply penetrating spray-type arc with a thin, friable slag that is self-removing. Suitable for root pass and fill pass welding. Welds are of radiographic quality. Operates on DC only (DCEP recommended for most passes; DCEN for root passes).

Welding procedure & parameters
DC only (DCEP for fill/cap; DCEN for root passes). Short arc length essential. Stovepipe (vertical-down) technique preferred. No baking required. Clean base metal prior to welding. Typical amperages: 2.5mm: 55–75A; 3.15mm: 80–110A; 4.0mm: 120–150A.
Typical applications
Pipeline welding (cross-country and refinery piping), shipbuilding, storage vessels, boilers, pressure piping, structural steel where radiographic-quality welds are required. Root pass welding using stovepipe (vertical-down) technique on carbon steel and low-alloy steel.
Storage & handling notes
Electrodes can be used immediately after opening — no re-drying required. Remove oil, rust and moisture from joint before welding. Not suitable for AC machines.
