Cellulosic Electrodes
SUPERLINK-70G
A light-coated, high-cellulose type electrode for vertical-down welding of high-strength pipe steels. Features a deeply penetrating, forceful, spray-type arc with thin, friable, self-removing slag. Provides single-sided welding with two-sided formation on root passes. Weld deposits are of radiographic (X-ray) quality. Suitable for hot pass and filler passes on API 5L grade steels (X52–X60). DC (DCEN) operation only.

Welding procedure & parameters
DC only (DCEN). No pre-baking required. Stovepipe (vertical-down) technique. Maintain short arc length. Preheat per base metal specification. Typical amperages: 3.15mm: 80–110A; 4.0mm: 120–155A; 4.75mm: 145–175A.
Typical applications
Cross-country oil and gas pipeline welding. Vertical-down root, hot, and filler passes on API 5L X52–X60 grade steels. Ideal for 'stovepipe' welding technique used on large-diameter pipelines. Also suitable for pressure vessels and structural applications requiring high-strength, X-ray quality welds.
Storage & handling notes
Use immediately after opening — no re-drying. Workpiece must be free of oil, grease, and moisture. For API X52–X60 grades; verify compatibility with higher grade steels before use.
