Hardfacing Electrodes
SUPERLINK-650
An extremely hard, complex chromium carbide hardfacing electrode producing non-machinable, sound weld metal. Very high abrasion resistance at both ambient and elevated temperatures. Hardness approximately 60–65 HRC. Suitable for resistance to severe abrasion and moderate impact. Check-cracking is normal.

Welding procedure & parameters
DC+ (DCEP) or AC. Flat position only. Preheat 200°C–350°C. Apply buffer layer of austenitic manganese electrode first if applying on high-Mn or high-C steels. Maximum 2 layers.
Typical applications
Sinter-handling equipment, blast furnace bells and hoppers, clinker conveyor chains, coke pusher shoes, excavator buckets, gyratory crusher mantles, abrasive hot particle handling in sinter plants and steel mills.
Storage & handling notes
Re-dry 250°C–300°C/1 hr. This grade is for extreme, high-temperature abrasion only. Not for impact-dominated service. Check-cracking is expected.
