Medium & High Tensile Steel Electrodes
SUPERLINK-7024
A high-efficiency, iron-powder rutile-coated electrode for high-speed, single-pass horizontal and flat fillet welding. Deposition efficiency approximately 150%. Produces a smooth, quiet arc with very low spatter, excellent bead appearance, and a self-cleaning slag. Particularly useful for high-production fabrication where equal 45° fillets are required. AC or DCEN.

Welding procedure & parameters
AC or DCEN (electrode negative). Flat and horizontal fillet positions only. High travel speed possible. Use stringer or slight weave. Typical amperages: 3.15mm: 120–160A; 4.0mm: 150–200A; 5.0mm: 200–280A.
Typical applications
High-production welding of ships, barges, railroad cars, structural steel, truck fabrication, storage tanks, earthmoving equipment, mine cars, bridges. Ideal for flat (FW) and horizontal fillet (HF) positions only. Not suitable for groove welds or positional welding.
Storage & handling notes
Not suitable for positional welding (vertical, overhead). No special re-drying required unless exposed to excessive moisture. Store in dry conditions.
