Welding procedure & parameters
DC+ (DCEP). All positions except VD. Preheat 150°C–250°C. PWHT recommended (690°C–720°C). Re-dry 300°C–350°C/2 hrs.
Typical applications
High-temperature pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping for refinery and petrochemical services operating up to 500°C. Boiler headers, steam pipes using P11 / 1¼Cr–½Mo steel.
Storage & handling notes
Critical: preheat and PWHT are mandatory for this grade. H4 designation preferred. Diffusible H ≤4 ml/100g.
