SUPERLINK 98B3
A low-hydrogen, basic-coated electrode for welding 2¼Cr–1Mo creep-resistant steels (P22/Grade 91 type). Higher Cr and Mo content for superior creep resistance at elevated temperatures up to 580°C.

Welding procedure & parameters
DC+ (DCEP). All positions except VD. Preheat 200°C–300°C. PWHT mandatory (700°C–760°C). Re-dry 300°C–350°C/2 hrs.
Typical applications
High-temperature pressure vessels and piping for refinery, petrochemical, and power plant applications using 2¼Cr–1Mo steel (ASTM A387 Gr22, P22). Steam headers, superheaters.
Storage & handling notes
Mandatory PWHT required. H4 hydrogen level critical for this application. Strict moisture control.
